Singer and song writer Edrisah Musuuza better known as Eddy Kenzo has chosen to calm himself down after failing to grab a Grammy despite being nominated under the category of Best Global Music Performers.
Eddy Kenzo was nominated in the category of Best Global Music Performers together with Nigeria’s Burna Boy, South Africa’s Zakes Bantwini and Nomcebo Zikode. Eddy Kenzo’s song Gimme Love featuring Matt B got him nominated under the mentioned category.
This made Eddy Kenzo the first ever Ugandan to be nominated for the Grammy’s as well as an East African singer to be nominated for the Grammy’s under the category of Best Global Music Performers.
Despite Eddy Kenzo grabbing himself a Grammy medal, the South Africa’s Zakes Bantwini and Nomcebo Zikode won as the Best Global Music Performers beating Burna Boy, Matt B as well as Eddy Kenzo.
Following his failure to grab a Grammy, Eddy Kenzo calmed himself on his timeline as well as encouraging himself that the end is yet to come because the journey of his first Grammy Nomination was just the beginning.
“And the baby went to South Africa, thank you for the support my people I’m forever grateful. Viva Uganda, this is just the beginning. I love you all,” Eddy Kenzo wrote.
