Famous solo songster Leila Kayondo confessed that luck played the greatest role in her music career. The songster shared her musical journey and experience with Mc Kats who questioned about her break through.
Leila Kayondo rose to fame as a member of a female Ugandan singing group better known as “Dream Gals.” While at Dream Gals, the songster was involved in a hit song entitled “Weekend”
In 2009, the songster embarked on a solo career and her first single was “Kiruma” Produced by Benon of Swangz Avenue. Leila’s energetic, unique music, and her busy social life ensures she is a well known Ugandan talented artiste.
While in an interview, Prominent Mc and Television personality Mc Kats questioned Leila Kayondo. How did you get yourself a collabo from Chameleon as well as Weasel and Radio?
In response, the songster said proved to Kats that she has always been lucky. After her senior six while at Makerere University, she met Eddie Yawe, and later joined Dream Gals.
“I have always been lucky in the music industry. Before the release of my senior six results, I joined Makerere University for a diploma in IT (Information Technology), then I met Mr. Eddie Yawe, and I joined Dream Gals,” Leila Kayondo replied.
