I Shouldn’t Be Blamed For Lives Lost At Freedom City; Abitex Cries Out


Ugandan music promoter and event organizer Abbey Musinguzi well-known as Abitex Promotions was arrested following the death of over eight people who lost their lives during the end of year event that at Freedom City Mall.

Multiple sources confirm that the lives lost had gone to witness fireworks display when the event Mc encouraged the attendees to go outside and watch the display.

After the display, a stampede ensued resulting in the instant death of five people and the number continued rising while others left with severe injuries.


According to Abitex Promotions, the mind behind the organization of the event, he assured the press of not being guilty because his duty was to organize the event and the hosts were left with the duty of fireworks display. Besides, all gates were closed leaving a small one that couldn’t accommodate all the attendees.

“I’m in jail accused of the lives lost at Freedom City yet the owners of Freedom City are not accused. My duty was to ensure that the attendees were happy and that was handled well. Fireworks display and area of display was for the owners of the venue. So, they have to be blamed.” Abitex affirmed.
