Zakhele Madida, South African singer, song writer and businessman better known as Zakes Bantwini is delighted after winning himself a Grammy during the concluded Grammy ceremony that was held on 5th February, 2022 in the US.
Zakes Bantwini song Bayethe featuring fellow South African, songster Nomcebo Nothule Zikode was nominated under the category of “Best Global Music Performers” and the song enabled them to win a Grammy for themselves as well as South Africa.
In the category of the Best Global Music Performers, included Burna Boy, Eddy Kenzo and Matt B. So, the South Africans beat the above musicians to emerge as the best global music performers.
To Zakes, it took him 15 years to find his own path, and he is grateful to have stayed truthful to himself as well as his dreams despite all the hardship that came along his way of success.
Through his timeline, Zakes Bantwini attributed his victory and success to his biological parents [Mother and Father] who unfortunately passed on. The singer affirmed that his parental efforts, sacrifices and lessons finally brought out the very best of him.
“This moment is owed to my late mother and father. Your efforts, sacrifices and lessons you handed down brought out the very best in me. I’m grateful,” Zakes Bantwini wrote.
