Ugandan journalist and news anchor Samson Kasumba who works at Nbs Television has warned his workmate Sheilah Gashumba against rubbishing locally made content. This follows the online controversial conversation after Presenter Isaac Kawalya better known as Kaiyz confessing that Sheilah Gashumba’s outfits are disgusting.
All the three are workmates at Nbs Television but Kaiyz was not impressed by Sheilah Gashumba’s dress code during an event dubbed Chope Life in Kampala, Uganda.
In response, Sheilah Gashumbah affirmed to have grown watching live performances of Rihanna and Beyonce as well as Disney channel while Kaiyz grew up watching black and white television. She further reminded Kaiyz that they are not and they will never be on the same level despite working at the same television station.
As workmates, Samson Kasumba cautioned Sheilah to stop rubbishing local content because they both work on a local television. He further advised Sheilah to respect local productions because it is not easy to produce content.
“There was never anything wrong with those plays Sheilah. The moment we rubbish local content when we work on local television we make a massive mistake. Art is not easy to produce. Have the fights you want but respect local productions made by some genuinely great artists here,” Samson Kasumba wrote.
